I posed with the dog walkers dogs and I really like this picture.
Mom and me a year before she passed.
MY LIFE
Here's what I have discovered, its not what you do or have that is truly important in life, the important thing is what you are, how much love, you give. We all exist to have experiences, experiences that offer us wisdom, wisdom that becomes compassion, and compassion that becomes love.
It is your intent that is most important as we all must oscillate between the polarities of selfless and selfish.
Everything might seem like chaos to us somedays, but underlying chaos are laws that are as immutable as gravity. The understanding and applicaton of those laws are our purpose in life, any life.
I am a person of diverse interests, my curiousity knows no end. I would so love to experience everything. This lifetime I have been so fortunate to be able to study and learn about a great many things. But you are not interested in those things of the past whether it be a paper route or memories of school, what your most interested in is my ability to help you. That is all I am interested in too, how to help you, help you forget or remember, gain or lose, start or stop, something of importance, importance to you.
I have been a student all of my life. Always studying something. In 1993 I began studying hypnosis, hypnotherapy. It was a natural evolution from studying philosophy, physics, metaphysics the explanation of why things are the way they are, to applying the hypnosis techniques for rapid and persistent change of habits/patterns.
I have read many books in my field of study and most would agree you do teach yourself ultimately. Relying on mentors and collegues is also part of the journey.
My interest in the mind began as a teen. In 1993 I took Hypnotherapy training and became Certified and Licensed. I am transitioning to seeing fewer clients now that I have reached the seventh decade of my life. Helping you floats my boat.
It was always my intention to study and hone my craft of hypnosis until ready. To study and let my subconscious integrate knowledge. I knew I would know when the knowledge and life experiences to be able to fully help people make change using Hypnotherapy had ripened. Of all the various modalities available for helping people make changes in their lives, to me, Hypnotherapy is the quickest, lasting means.
I believe the mind is the prime and ultimate cause underlying all of our realities. The mind won't set a broken bone or adjust a spine. It will help with healing, and underlying issues that do create the circumstances of our lives.
When I was a child my Grandfather took me aside and said: "get all the education you can". Throughout my life I have. I have earned degrees in Political Science/Humanities from the University of Minnesota, Masters in Business from Xavier University in Cincinnati, School for Entrepreneurs in Tarrytown New York, and various certifications in diverse fields including Hypnotherapy.
The most important education I have, is the learning I have done outside of education system. Perhaps, upon inspection, we are all self-taught.
